She is Mr.Valentine's Daughter!

Marcus Valentine walked up to Zack Davis.

Zack immediately bowed his head, a sycophantic smile plastered on his face. "Young Master Xu, I went to the Xu residence looking for Third Master, but couldn't find him. I had no choice but to trouble you..."

Marcus looked down. "What is it?"

"Last time in San Francisco, Third Master and I hit it off immediately. Later, my wife Grace even helped Third Master visit Mrs. Xu. We have a good relationship with him. There's a small matter I'd like to ask Third Master for help with. Could you possibly pass a message for me?"

He had tried messaging Mr.Valentine, only to discover his WhatsApp had been blocked long ago.

Marcus narrowed his eyes. "What message?"

Zack smiled. "We've had a minor issue with our collaboration with Sherwood Group. I was hoping Third Master or you could intervene, ask the Sherwoods for some leniency. Just a two-week extension. I promise I'll have the proposal submitted by then!"

Marcus lowered his gaze and let out a cold laugh. "Fine. I'll deliver the message."

After saying this, Marcus turned and got into his car.

Zack and Kelsey Lopez didn't dare stop him, watching as his car sped away.

After Marcus left, Kelsey whispered, "Will this work?"

Zack was brimming with confidence. "Last time, Grace did Mr.Valentine a huge favor. He said himself we could come to him if we needed anything. It's just a word. Definitely no problem."

They left the parking garage talking.

Mina Sherwood emerged from a corner.

She had just come down to find her car when she saw Zack and Kelsey intercept Marcus, so she hid nearby and eavesdropped.

If Marcus really passed the message to Mr.Valentine, Grace's entire plan would be ruined.

Mina quickly took out her phone, found Marcus on WhatsApp, hesitated for a moment, then dialed his voice call.

The sky was dark.

Marcus leaned back in his seat, eyes closed, resting.

His mind was filled with the memory of Mina's smooth, delicate skin... utterly intoxicating!

Then he remembered her saying, "It wasn't my first time." His face instantly darkened.

It was his first time...

By that calculation, he was the one at a loss?!

He irritably loosened his tie, frustration burning inside him.

His phone suddenly rang.

He glanced at it. It was a WhatsApp call from Mina.

He couldn't remember when he had added Mina on WhatsApp, but Mina had been part of this social circle since childhood.

Back then, Mina was at least the granddaughter of the head of the Sherwood family. Everyone gave her some face.

But after her grandfather passed away, the main branch took over the Sherwoods. The second branch gradually declined, and Mina became more and more invisible in their circles...

Thinking of this, Marcus answered the call.

His voice was cold. "What is it?"

Mina's voice came through. "Didn't you say earlier that as long as my request wasn't excessive, you would agree?"

A mocking smile instantly appeared on Marcus's face. "So that was indeed playing hard to get? Miss Sherwood, there's no need for such games with me!"

Mina was speechless.

Marcus said calmly, "Go on."

He thought Mina would force him to take responsibility, or ask for benefits for the Sherwood second branch, at least help stabilize her position in Sherwood Group. Instead, he heard Mina say:

"Can you not help Zack and Grace?"

Marcus immediately frowned.

He sneered. "This is what you're asking me for?"

"Yes."

"Won't do it."

Marcus coldly spat out three words and hung up directly.

He was furious.

His assistant couldn't help but speak up. "Young Master Xu, Miss Sherwood doesn't know Miss Grace's identity..."

"Even if she weren't my uncle's daughter, is this how you treat an ordinary friend?!"

Marcus snapped angrily, then let out a cold laugh. "If she really can't stand someone like Grace, then she should stay away. It was Mina herself who got close, just to embarrass Grace?! Was their over-a-decade-long friendship all fake?! If Uncle finds out about Grace's identity and Mina's actions, Mina can forget about staying in San Francisco!"

The assistant was silent for a moment, then couldn't resist asking, "Young Master Xu, are you still not going to tell Third Master the DNA test results?"

Marcus frowned deeply.

The DNA test results had come out long ago.

He had initially believed his uncle's confident claims, really thinking Grace was his father's illegitimate child. Those two days at home, he hadn't given his father a single good look.

He even got beaten up by his father later.

But the results showed that Grace was his uncle's daughter!

He was utterly shocked at the time.

He had planned to tell his uncle immediately, but after hearing his assistant's report on Grace's life, Marcus hesitated.

His uncle replied, "You can't compromise on blood relations. Better none than settle."

If his uncle found out his daughter lived such a wretched life, being played for a fool by some social-climbing man from a small town, he would probably be furious.

His illustrious, brilliant life would be ruined by this daughter, Grace!

So Marcus had been delaying meeting his uncle, not reporting this matter.

His uncle was out searching for Mrs. Xu, Sophia. The two hadn't seen each other since that day.

Marcus sighed. "Let's not say anything for now. I'm afraid Uncle will get sick from anger."

The assistant asked again, "Then this matter... are we getting involved or not?"

Marcus's jaw tightened.

He thought maybe it was better not to get involved. Let Zack abandon Grace; it might cure his cousin's lovesick foolishness.

But he also felt this was his cousin's own choice.

The Xu family upbringing taught them from childhood to act according to their own wishes. The elders never forcibly interfered with the excuse of "it's for your own good."

Instead, they asked, "What do you want?" and tried their best to fulfill it.

So, if Grace deeply loved Zack, Marcus's choice would be to help her keep Zack in check, make him never dare to divorce her for life. After all, the Xu family could protect her for a lifetime!

Just as this thought crossed his mind, his WhatsApp rang again. It was still Mina.

Marcus had already made his decision. His tone was icy. "Miss Sherwood, are you doing all this just to retaliate against your good friend Grace?"

Mina hurriedly explained, "No, I want her to get a divorce."

Marcus scoffed. "You want her to get a divorce, but does she want that? Do you know how annoying it is to force your ideas on someone else?"

Mina was angered by him. "How do you know she doesn't want to?!"
