The private room fell silent.

Everyone looked at Ye Qing.

Someone whispered, "Didn't Julian say to drop it?"

Another scoffed coldly. "Her lies are too obvious. Should we just let her get away with it? Julian and Isabella might tolerate her, but we won't."

Julian Evans and Isabella Ashcroft's expressions tightened.

Julian shot a glance at Isabella.

Isabella cleared her throat softly, trying to change the subject. "It's Professor Lowell's birthday today. Let's raise our glasses for a toast!"

Everyone lifted their glasses.

Evelyn Ross picked up her wine glass calmly.

She ignored the surrounding whispers.

Only James Klein looked furious.

Professor Lowell was ushered to the head of the table. He raised his glass with a cheerful smile.

"Happy birthday, Professor!"

After the collective well-wishes, Professor Lowell suddenly waved at Evelyn. "Evelyn, come sit here!"

He pointed to the empty seat beside him. "I finally caught you today. We must have a good chat!"

The room was stunned.

All eyes focused on Evelyn.

Evelyn walked over helplessly. "Happy birthday, Professor."

"I'm happy now that you're here!" Professor Lowell complained. "I called you so many times, but you never came. You can't escape today!"

Evelyn smiled wryly. "I've been really busy lately…"

Ye Qing sneered. "Pretty faces have it easy. Even Professor Lowell is so fond of her."

The classmates whispered among themselves.

James could no longer hold back. "Professor Lowell, please tell them. Evelyn is Dr. Nan! They don't believe me!"

Professor Lowell looked at the crowd. "Let me formally introduce everyone to Dr. Nan, our specially appointed professor! You can consult her on technical issues from now on!"

Dead silence filled the private room.

Everyone's eyes widened.

Professor Lowell's word was authoritative!

The classmates immediately apologized.

"Miss Ross, we're sorry. We had no idea…"

"That was rude of us earlier. Please forgive us…"

"We shouldn't have listened to rumors. Please don't take it to heart…"

They surrounded Evelyn.

Isabella glanced at Julian, then suddenly stood up. "Professor, we have more good news. Julian and I got our marriage certificate!"

Everyone's attention immediately returned.

"Congratulations!"

"Remember to invite us to the wedding!"

"A powerful union between two great families!"

"You're the first among our classmates to marry, right?"

Ye Qing's eyes shifted between them. "Isabella is so lucky. Marrying into a rich family makes her a wealthy lady. No matter how capable some people are, who knows who they'll end up with? A successful career can't compare to a good marriage."

Isabella felt pleased.

Marrying Julian was indeed her greatest pride.

She smiled sweetly. "That's not entirely true. Evelyn is not only successful in her career, but she also married earlier than me. She got her marriage certificate right after graduation!"

"What?"

Everyone was shocked again. "Dr. Nan is married too? Her husband must be a big name in the industry, right?"

"Who is he? Bring him over to meet us!"

Evelyn lowered her gaze. "I'll introduce him another time."

"No need for another time." Isabella held up her phone. "He's already here, about to come in. Evelyn, I invited him. I hope you don't mind."

Evelyn frowned.

Outside the private room door, Alexander Vance happened to hear these words.
